Why There Is A Need To Learn Parenting?

Being a parent is considered one of the most beautiful feelings in this world. When a kid holds your hand, you wish to put this world be in their palm. You wish to make them feel the luckiest. The majority of the parents feel blessed to have kids. The way they feel blessed holding them, they want their kids to feel the same. But the question arises “How?” When you become a parent you may take advice, go through some references as to how to raise your kids in the best way. If you do so, we are proud to see your concern. Why would we say that? As we feel parenting is something that needs to be learned. Parents have the biggest responsibilities in this society.

Firstly, let’s look at the definition of parenting.

It is the process of promoting and supporting the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of a child from infancy to adulthood. Parenting refers to the intricacies of raising a child and not exclusively for a biological relationship.

By this definition, you can understand that parents have the biggest responsibilities in society because the way they raise their children will decide the future of this society. And it not only includes biological relationships but the overall growth and development of a child. In fact, parenting is a big responsibility that if not fulfilled properly, can disrupt peace. How can this happen? How can lack of proper parenting lead to destruction?

Have you heard about harmful love? Love is usually known for healing, but when in the name of love anything is done to satisfied ego or pride, it creates demons. When you mislead people in the name of love, it can simply turn into harmful love. A love that leads to destruction by creating destroyers.

Some children when grown up with a lack of affection, care, love, and attention become enemies of their own or the entire society. It makes them feel like they have missed something in life. The search for love and affection never ends which they missed as a kid. The search for the time that their parents failed to give them never ends. The search goes on and in this process, they become someone that they would have never been if they would be handled properly and raised properly when they were kids. If they didn’t face a situation that they should have never as a kid. This carelessness can cost this society a lot. Even the act of giving harmful love to kids by their family members, allowing the kid to do everything they want at the cost of hurting someone, and opting for a wrong path for their own happiness.

In such situations, a kid comes across two paths. Healing and Harming. Healing is the difficult one when love is missed from their lives or they are filled with over pride; harmful love thinking they can do anything they want one will hardly opt for healing as he/she never understood the beauty, meaning and the purpose of life. When talked about harming it can be self-harming by indulging in harmful activities like harmful addictions or physical harm. It can also lead to harming others for pleasure, harming the society for fulfilling that emptiness.

This may have given you the seriousness of parenting and the role of the environment where a kid is growing. To see a better society, you need to put an effort and it begins from your home.

The phrase charity begins at home simply says the role of parents. The way you raised a child defines whom you have raised; a human or a demon. Many things can influence one’s behavior but the foundation is laid at home before he/she steps out.

When gone through the background of many criminals or even people with mental health problems, a lot of reasons are attributed to their childhood. You can read the background of serial killers or dangerous criminals, many of them share similar backgrounds, they have one thing in common and that is their disturbing childhood.

Today if you don’t stop your kids from harming living beings, tomorrow they won’t hesitate to harm their genes. A kid who doesn’t have empathy, who grew not knowing what love is, they are never at ease. Neither they are at ease nor they allow people around them to live in peace.

A kid should be stopped while attacking birds or animals while harming them. Instead of laughing at this cruel act, or letting it go, they should make the kid realize the harmful consequences of their actions. There should be a feeling of empathy for living beings, they should be made to understand the pain of these beings. What happens when one can understand the pain of others we create empathetic kids that will lead our future, our society to a better world. Won’t our world be a better place to live in then? When a human will understand another human being. When greed won’t take over empathy. When life will matter more than a luxury. When humans will be valued more than objects.
