Why It Is Never Too Late To Start Exercising?

If you are someone who has never taken part in a sustained exercise program or someone who thinks you are too late to start exercising, don’t worry about it all as even you have the same ability to build muscle mass as highly trained masters athletes of a similar age. Irrespective of whether you ever tried working out or you left it long ago, it is never too late to start exercising.


Lead researcher, Dr. Leigh Breen says that "our study clearly shows that it doesn't matter if you haven't been a regular exerciser throughout your life, you can still derive benefit from exercise whenever you start."


In order to build muscles, you need to apply adequate stimulus and variation consistently to continuously and you don’t have to stress on the gaps you ever took. The moment you start doing something challenging and unfamiliar like picking up a dumbbell or performing a push-up is the moment the process of bodybuilding starts. Those who are entirely unaccustomed to exercise can benefit from weight training.


When it comes to the specific resistant training exercise, the avid exerciser’s body synthesizes protein at the same rate as the untrained individuals. And the reason it is never too late to start exercising.


The temporary stress given by exercise damages muscle cells or fibers and as the body repairs them, those muscle tissues or fibers become bigger than they were before.


Overall, in order to build your muscles, the experience level of the exercise doesn't really matter as long as the exercise is challenging for your muscles to grow. Challenge the muscles for it to change.
